Hidden Heroes (Part 2)

Hidden Heroes (Part 2)

Hebrews 13:17
“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.”

When many people think abut heroes that think about people that fly, run or do things with super human abilities. However, there are everyday people that perfect miraculous acts with a cape or cool uniform. They are hidden heroes.

When many people consider heroes they often omit the authorities. When one mentions the authorities we often think of the Police and Public servants like Firemen and Paramedics. However, the authorities are more than just these people. The authorities are but no limited to:

The President of The United States & his staff

The Governor of your state and his/her staff

The Major of your city & his/her staff

Congressional and Senatorial Officers

Judicial Officers

Just to name a few! These are people that God has entrusted to your safe keeping. We should honor them as we honor a man of God. How are they hidden heroes?

  1. They deal with life and death issues daily and deal with people at their worst when they are at their best.
  2. They think that their daily miracles are no big deal. If you have even been trapped in a wrecked car with no way to escape then you realize how much of a miracles it is when you’re rescued.
  3. They live to do these acts every day without any thanks from the persons in which they rescue.

Today, as we travel along these highways and byways, lets remember our first responders and authorities that provide safety & security domestically. Today, goto a first responder and give them a hearty thank you. Tell them that you will pray for the and their families. We all know that we live in a time where those people are being targeted but let’s pray that God gives them grace. In tomorrow’s devotional we will speak about the next hidden hero. Join us again as we address real life issues with biblical answers on Worship With Willie.
