II Corinthians 4:1-4
“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
FIVE BIBLE TRUTHS THAT THE DEVIL DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW (PART 4)
When we think of truth we think of kind and innocent truths but we fail to realize that truth is not just what is said but what isn’t said. The preacher and the bible teacher both share the truth but there is one that does not care if you hear the truth. The devil! Here are five bible truths that the devil does not want you to know.
IV. SIN SENDS YOU TO HELL
This is a major lie of the enemy and an area where people are usually mistaken. There is only thing that sends you to hell. Believe it or not, it has nothing to do with sin! I will share what will not send you to hell before I tell you what will send you to hell.
There is no scripture that tells us that sin will send people to hell alone. Sin is like a disease but the result of sin is the actual death. When a person sins, they disobey Gods love because we have this nature inside of us already. The bible tells us in Romans 5:12
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” This means that man does sinful and bad acts because it is literally in our genetics. When Adam and Eve sinned against God originally, they received a sin nature which they passed on to us. This sin nature implanted itself into our very souls and bodies. This sin nature has become apart of the human genetic code and our behavior. So we sin willingly because we can’t help it. Don’t believe me? Look at the condition of the world 20 years ago and then look at today. Has it gotten worse or better? It is because of sin and our inherited sin nature.
B. Being Bad Or Cursing God
Many people believe that if they curse God or even live a horrible life that they or the person who lived this life will spend forever in hell. I find no evidence biblically to support this claim. Why? The bible tells us in Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This means that no matter who calls unto God for salvation, then He promised to save them. Additionally, the bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Do you understand the importance of this scripture and what it is saying? It means that there is nothing that one can do in order to gain eternal life nor does behavior alone saved or condemn a soul. There is no such thing as a bad person going to hell nor a good person going to heaven. Being bad alone is not a means that qualifies one to be sentenced into the pit of the damned.
C. What Sends A Person To Hell?
Jesus said it best when He said this in John 3:18 “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” This means that He or She that hath or has Jesus have eternal life but any that doesn’t have the Son of God will never see eternal life and is already in hell because they have not believed on Jesus Christ’s name. Notice that this scripture said nothing about sin nor a person’s personal behavior. It was all based on the person’s relationship with Jesus. So if one does not have a relationship and personal knowledge with Jesus then they don’t have Him. So how does this send someone to hell? One must receive Jesus Christ by faith in order to goto Heaven. So in like manner, if one chooses to reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then they have forfeited God’s grace, love, mercy and forgiveness for their sin and their unbelief. This will be enough to condemn them for eternity.
If sin would send people to hell, then why did John the Baptist say in John 1:29
“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Jesus removes the sin of unbelief ONLY after we trust in Him by faith for salvation. Our lives do not provide much hope or help when it comes to salvation it is only by the blood of Jesus Christ. Rejection either actively or passively will be the final straw that will send people to hell. Now unfortunately, this will not occur at that moment but will happen at the time of death. However, God is merciful in that He will still save a person even after a lifetime of rejecting Him. His mercy is great and His understanding exceeds our own. Praise God for this bible truth.
