II Corinthians 4:1-4

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

FIVE BIBLE TRUTHS THAT THE DEVIL DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW (PART 3)

When we think of truth we think of kind and innocent truths but we fail to realize that truth is not just what is said but what isn’t said. The preacher and the bible teacher both share the truth but there is one that does not care if you hear the truth. The devil! Here are five bible truths that the devil does not want you to know.

III. GOD DOESN’T SEND PEOPLE TO HELL

This has been subject of debate or hundreds of years! it is reasonable for unbelievers to believe this but there is no substance to this tale. Before we answer this we need to add three things into this equation.

I. God Made Man With Free Will

When God created man in the Garden ofEden in Genesis chapter 1, God said that man should have dominion over them.

Genesis 1:28-30

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

So we see that God allowed man to have control, by himself, over the entire world and it’s contents. If God controlled us like robots, then why would He surrender over the reins of this world to humanity? He allowed us to make our own decisions and not interfere. This is our free will.

II. God Made A Way For Fallen Man To Come Back To Him

When mankind sinned and disobeyed God, there was a huge void from man to God. There was no way that man could restore the sweet fellowship from himself to God. Even the sacrifices of bulls and goats only provided a temporary rope bridge that was destroyed yearly after one use. God in His divine compassion created a way for mankind to use the One Way that comes from God to get back to God. This is what God did for us by sending His Only Son to redeem fallen man. We read this in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” We also read that God does not want anyone to perish by going to hell. This is found in 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” So God not only loves people but has provided a way to get to heaven and has a desire to see all people in heaven with Him.

III. God Allows Man To Choose His Own Destiny

The bible tells us in John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Believe it or not, this is God allowing people make their own decisions whether or not they will believe on His name. You see, although God could make people follow Him, He allows us to choose to make that decision or ourselves.

To answer the earlier question/statement about God sending people to hell; He doesn’t! Why? Because we have free will to make our own decisions. He has the power to stop our actions but He chooses not to because He gave us the individual gift of free choice. He will not force anyone to jump on the salvation boat. God has done it all for us: creation, salvation and eternal preservation all we need do is choose Him by faith and go to heaven with Him. If we don’t choose God on purpose then we deny Him on purpose. Not choosing isn’t a choice either! Man sends himself to hell by not proactively seeking God himself and trusting Jesus as their savior. If you deny Jesus, then you choose to pay your own sin debt and will continue to pay it for all eternity. Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay your sin debt and wipe your account free. Will you allow Him to take your place or will you allow yourself to be consumed by the wage of sin and miss His gift of eternal life? In tomorrow’s devotional we will cover another truth that the devil attempts to hide. Join us again as we address real life issues with biblical answers on Worship With Willie.
