II Corinthians 4:1-4
“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
FIVE BIBLE TRUTHS THAT THE DEVIL DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW (PART 2)
When we think of truth we think of kind and innocent truths but we fail to realize that truth is not just what is said but what isn’t said. The preacher and the bible teacher both share the truth but there is one that does not care if you hear the truth. The devil! Here are five bible truths that the devil does not want you to know.
II. GOD HAS AN UNLIMITED SUPPLY OF GRACE & FORGIVENESS
Most people believe that God is in heaven with a huge lightning bolt waiting to strike down anyone that messes up and does not do His bidding. Well, this is simply not true. Some believe that God is like this because they themselves would be this way. The fact remains that God has an unlimited supply of grace, mercy and forgiveness. We don’t even understand his unsearchable riches in forgiveness.
Here is what the devil says to people:
“God will never forgive you for doing that..” “You broke God’s laws and you are guilty.”
“How can you do this for God, when just the other day, you did that to God?”
“You can’t even keep yourself free from sin but you’re telling others how to live?”
The bible tells us where our sins are put once we ask for forgiveness:
“He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” (The deepest part of the ocean is 10 miles below the surface of the waters. It is said that it would take an enormous amount of power to rise from that depth back to the surface of the water. This is due to the enormous downward pressure that pushes these items back to the bottom.)
“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” (The east and west never touch and they so far apart from each other that no one ever sees them.)
God loves us so much that He is willing to separate us from our iniquities. The devil wants you to believe that God hates you once you mess up and that there is no hope. If that were true, then it was illogical, ignorant and utterly useless for God to send Jesus to die for man. The bible tells us in Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus loves you and God forgives us for His name sakes. Don’t allow satan to make you believe that God’s forgiveness tank has run dry. There is still a fountain that flows from Emmanuel’s veins where sinners come to remove all their guilty stains. In tomorrow’s devotional we will cover another truth that satan tries to hide. Join us again as headdress real life issues with biblical answers on Worship With Willie.
