II Corinthians 4:1-4

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Five Bible Truths That The Devil Doesn’t Want You To Know (Part 1)

When we think of truth we think of kind and innocent truths but we fail to realize that truth is not just what is said but what isn’t said. The preacher and the bible teacher both share the truth but there is one that does not care if you hear the truth. The devil! Here are five bible truths that the devil does not want you to know.

I. The Bible Can’t Be Trusted Because It Is Not True

This is a valid argument for most people that legitimately question the authority of God’s Word. We have all heard people say things like:

  • “Man wrote the bible”
  • “It has been changed so many times that it is no longer the pure word of God”

Well my answer to this argument can be summed up with a few words and verses. To begin I will say that the bible is true and I will share  few things that helped me to understand that truth.

A. Have you ever planted tomato seeds? If you have ever planted tomato seeds you know that these seeds aren’t the actual first tomato but seeds from other tomatoes that came rom the original tomato that God made. Even in your lifetime, have you ever seen a blue tomato? Why? Because the original was incapable of changing without something like stronger than itself changing it. A tomato cannot change itself, it must depend upon someone with the knowledge & skill to change it.

God gives us His word and ensures that it is not changed without His approval. God’s Words mighty and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. Even if we wanted to, we are unable to change God’s word. True man can alter it, but it would no longer be God’s Word. However, the fact remains that God still has His unaltered Word. It would take someone stronger than God and the Word of God to change it. Man my temporarily alter God’s word but when that man dies, then his interpretation dies with him unless he uses God’s Word originally.

B. Have you ever played the game telephone? It’s where you whisper something into the ear of someone and this repeats until  it journeys to the other side of the room. Usually, the message is drastically different! What I ind is that the message becomes blurry or miscommunicated fairly close to the source of the original message. When the game ends, all of the participants are waiting in suspense of what the original message contained. Why? They want to see how of they were from the original words of the author.

Even though people alter God’s Word, there are still those out there that seek God whole heartedly. I have seek people subject themselves to error because they are seeking truth. I have also seen people leave truth for error as well. Why? Attitude! One person seeks God as they would a drowning man his next full breath. The other runs from God as they would a dangerous animal chasing them down for the kill. God the creator knoweth the hearts of men and will always send truth to those that seek it.

If people seek truth, they will be rewarded with the truth. The bible says that God is a rewarded of Him that diligently seeks Him. If one has not found God they haven’t looked hard enough. Here’s what we do: We skim the surface and if God doesn’t jump out at us and say “Hold on Stop, I’m right here” we give up quickly and says that God isn’t real. That is how the devil makes us believe that the bible isn’t true and can’t be trusted. What is your final authority? Is it the words of dead man or are the words of a living man that still lives and can never die? The choice is up to you! In tomorrow’s devotional we will talk more about the bible truths that the devil seeks to hide from humanity.
