The Foes Of Mr. Depression (Part 1)
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
The day is finally here where we get to meet the hero of the Christian race of people. We have everything from an officer, a judge, councilors, close friends and even a salesman. These people are figure that ensure that every believer’s voice is heard and their rights are not taken away by the sly devices of Mr. Depression’s friends and family. This week we will address how Christians will get the victory over Mr. Depression Friends and Family by getting t know The Foes Of Mr. Depression.
Officer (MG) Mercy Grace
Officer (MG) Mercy Grace, or as some my call him (OMG), is an individual that focuses on ensuring that all Christians get a fair chance to serve and love God freely with a clear mind, heart and soul. Officer (MG) ensures that Christians get a chance to have a clear mind to choose for themselves! He does three things to ensure that we have a choice:
Arrests The Foes
All too often we cannot approach the throne of Grace because the enemy will accuse us with the Law. The Law convicts us and reminds us that we aren’t perfect and have no hope to achieve perfection. DUH!!!!! This is true, read Genesis chapter 3. God even said that statement. The enemy likes to remind us about this as a means of controlling us and discouraging us with the very thing that gives us freedom. The enemy is a spiritual terrorist that tries to intimidate us with his knowledge of the Law. The enemy quotes
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy…”
However, the enemy forgets the rest of the scripture;
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”
Mercy and Grace capture the justice of the Law and puts on a person that has expunged your record so that you can be clean, free and guiltless. Officer (MG) was the one that put the strongholds on the enemy so that we can approach the throne of grace without fear of being judged for what we have already been forgiven in the past.
Assists The Feeble
As an authority figure, Officer (MG) seeks to help those the cannot get the help that they deserve and need. He knows that there are those that cannot approach the Throne of Grace because they are casualties of an onslaught of sin and iniquity. These feeble are so weak with the wounds of a sinful life and the disease of iniquity in their mortal bodies. These citizens of the Land That Is Fairer Than Day need Officer (MG) to lift them up and give them the strength and space to approach God’s Throne.
Have you ever been so weary and worn because of a sinful habit or addiction that you didn’t even want to come to God? We often feel this way because we are sick or feeble from something that prevents us from doing things that we normally would. Officer (MG) has the a medicine that is called Grace. It is sweet to the taste, like honey, and it wrks faster than morphine. Remember that Grace is a great healing solution when you are sin sick.
Advises The Faithful
As a mentor and model to live by, Officer (MG) shows all faithful citizens how they are supposed to and should live their lives. He gives them the tools they need to endure critical attacks, thwart evil plans and become model citizens themselves. He teaches them the law not as a way to condemn others but as a way to guide and educate others. He realizes that he cannot punish citizens who don’t know the law unless they have been taught the law. Officer (MG) informs them of places that they should not attend, places where they should not go and things that they should not do.
Officer (MG) is a servant to God’s people but he loves to expose sickness and evil so that God’s people can have the choice to choose without any distractions. Officer (MG) does work for an authority and his name is Judge Justice. In tomorrow’s devotional we will learn about the process of Judge Justice and his Court of Righteousness.
